Nicolas Cage Restrains Mötley Crüe Frontman, Vince Neil, After Grabbing Woman
Things got testy fast when Vince Neil got into an altercation with Nicolas Cage in Las Vegas on Thursday. It all began when a fan asked Cage for an autograph. For some unknown reason, the Mötley Crüe frontman grabbed the woman as she left.
TMZ reports that Neil allegedly attacked the female fan at the Aria Hotel on the Vegas strip around 5 p.m. The matter has become the subject of a criminal investigation.
According to the report, the two men were inside the hotel when a woman came up to Nicholas wanting his autograph. Sources tell TMZ that Vince allegedly “got behind the woman, grabbed her by the hair and pulled her to the ground.”
The video obtained shows the end of the fight between Vince Neil and Nicolas Cage. According to sources, Nicolas was trying to restrain Vince and calm him down. He's seen screaming at Vince to “stop this s*** now!” He took him outside the hotel and into a car.
Law enforcement told TMZ that Vince was cited for battery, but was never taken into custody.
In an Eonline report, the Las Vegas Metro Police tell the site that the woman in question suffered minor injuries from the traumatic incident with Vince. The authorities add that the heavy metal singer will have to appear in court.
It's a mystery why Vince would openly attack a woman in public the way he did while hanging out with his pal. It's possible alcohol was involved, but nothing has been confirmed. Judging by the footage, it appears some intoxication could be a leading factor in the act.
There's little question that the victim was blindsided by Vince's response. Surely, Nicolas feels bad that a fan of his was brutally attacked out of the blue. Talk about having to watch the company you keep!
