A bus driver dubbed Britain's most prolific dad after fathering 28 children was jailed for five years and eight months on Monday for sexually abusing a young girl.
Michael Redman hit the national headlines last year as it was revealed he was a serial womaniser who used his job to meet women and romance female passengers on his number 58 bus.
The 60-year-old previously boasted of his parenting prowess after fathering 28 children by nine women, some of whom he chatted up while driving his bus.
However behind his sunny smile and cheeky banter Redman was a controlling bully and paedophile who subjected a girl to repeated indecent assaults when she was aged just 12 to 15 years, a court heard.
Anne Longfield, the children?s commissioner for England, found 50,000 reported cases of sex abuse over the last two years – but estimated the true number was up to 450,000
The sexual abuse began in 2008 when the girl was just 12 years old when Redman, who was 40 years her senior, would visit his her home and molest her while forcing her to pose naked for degrading photoshoots.
He would also drive her to a woodland beauty spot in Frensham, Surrey, and take lewd pictures of her while abusing her amongst the trees.
Redman, of Winchester Road, Ash, Surrey, denied three counts of sexual assault on a child, two counts of assault by penetration and four counts of making indecent pictures but was convicted of all the charges by a unanimous jury following a trial.
Jailing him for five years and eight months Judge Peter Moss told the prolific father he had perfected the "art of deceit" when he groomed and then habitually abused the young girl.

The judge blasted Redman for his feckless behaviour in his personal life as he sentenced him at Guildford Crown Court, saying: "It seems you were perfecting the art of deceit, which you had practiced in the past it seems, with other women, with whom you had many children.
"I must consider the effect it [a prison sentence] will have on your young children. The impact on them is great by your loss.
"These cases plainly destroy families. That's something that you are not unused to doing, by looking at your background."
His convictions have split his extended family, with some standing by him and other denouncing him. Members of his family or ex-partners gave evidence for both the prosecution and defence case.
Judge Moss said that Redman would make his victim pose naked for his camera, touching her breasts and body under the guise of moving her for poses.
"She remembers him saying how beautiful she looked and felt he took complete advantage of her."
